Mission Statement

  
     
 
The purpose of YAC is to organize social programs (athletic, scientific and artistic) to develop the participants' positive self-esteem and to further their education in areas of social recreation and cooperative teamwork. YAC will make these programs available to as many of the young people of the parish as possible. YAC will follow the eligibility guidelines that are set by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and SAY East (for soccer), as well as eligiblity requirements of the school. Additionally, parish members who are enrolled in a grade school other than OLSH may participate in these programs if such members actively participate in the OLSH CCD or other religious education approved by the OLSH Pastor.
  
     
 

The objectives of YAC are:

  1. To foster cooperation and competition in light of Christian principles;
  2. To provide the means by which the youth of the parish can grow in the socialization process;
  3. To encourage participation in sports programs in which the youth of the parish can compete;
  4. To assist the parish in the development of community spirit;
  5. To encourage parental involvement in the activities of the youth of the parish;
