SURGERY UPDATE:  Ms. Fischesser’s surgery went very well, and she is home recuperating.  She (and we) thank you all for your prayers.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS:  We’d like to thank all our families who have sent in food to fill our Thanksgiving baskets.  We can tell that we will again be able to fill many baskets to give to local needy families.  Your generosity overwhelms us!  Students and teachers will pack the baskets on Monday, November 19; and they will be picked up sometime that afternoon.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY:  Lifetouch will be at OLSH this Monday, November 19, to retake any Fall pictures that were not satisfactory.  If your child is having his picture retaken, please be sure to send with him the original package printed from the picture taken on October 18.

GRANDPARENTS’/SPECIAL PERSONS’ DAY:  We look forward to sharing part of our day with our grandparents and special persons on Tuesday, November 20.  The day will start with Mass at 8:15 a.m. in the Activity Center.  Donuts, coffee, and orange juice will be served after Mass in the Tiger Room of the Activity Center with entertainment by students in the primary grades.  Afterwards, grandparents and special persons may meet up with their “special students” in the classrooms until 10:45 a.m.  Don’t forget your cameras!  If you have forgotten to R.S.V.P., please come anyway—we’d love to have you here!

MARKET DAY:  A reminder that all students may be out of uniform on Monday, November 19 as a “thank you” for the terrific response to our pie sale.  We exceeded our goal, and we have you to thank for it.  December order forms are coming home today with your youngest.  If you spend at least $25 next month, you will have a chance to win a $25 Market Day gift certificate.

ATTENTION, BAKERS:  The Teacher/Staff Christmas committee would like some help baking goodies for Christmas gifts.  Please contact Kim Pomeroy at 733-5513 if you’d like to help out.

CHRISTMAS SHOP:  The Christmas Shop committee would like help running the raffle during shopping hours on December 13 and 14.  Please contact April Vogt at 769-1617 to volunteer.

PARISH DIRECTORY INFO:  We cannot view and/or order portraits online with Lifetouch.  Prints can be ordered through Lifetouch by calling their Portrait Customer Service at 1-888-313-1746.  There is still time to have your family portrait included in the Parish directory.  If you were unable to get your family portrait taken, please contact our Lifetouch representative, Don Woodburn, at 662-0996.  Lifetouch will be taking portraits at nearby churches, and Mr. Woodburn can tell you what times are available at which locations so you can find a convenient time and place for your family to have a portrait taken.  Call Alison O’Neill for further information (769-4853).

THANK YOU FOR RECYCLING YOUR PAPER!

IT’S AMAZING TO SEE WHAT WOULD BE GOING INTO A LANDFILL.
