DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME:  Don’t forget to “spring forward” this Sunday at 2 a.m.  Set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.  Hopefully, students can recover that lost hour of sleep on Monday and return to school on Tuesday “bright-eyed and bushy-tailed”!

GIRL SCOUT KUDOS:  Congratulations to 6th grade Junior Girl Scouts Leah Anderson, Paige Brown, Molly Ernstes, Grace Kallenberg, Ellen O’Neill and Ashley Peter on earning the Girl Scout I Live My Faith religious medal.  These young women worked diligently to complete the necessary requirements to earn this honor including participating in a day-long retreat, attending mass at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral and maintaining a journal of their progress.  They will receive their medal on Girl Scout Sunday, March 11, 10:30 a.m. mass.

CONFIRMATION:  Please remember our eighth graders as Bishop Carl Moeddel confirms them on Tuesday, March 13.  Eighth grade Religion teacher Mrs. Wendy Schworer, CCD Coordinator Mrs. Julie Gorsuch, and CCD Instructor Mr. Jim Champlin have worked hard alongside the students to prepare them for this important step in their religious lives.  Congratulations to them!  (Note:  The eighth graders will not be at school on Wednesday, March 14.)

FISH FRY:  Bring your families and join your friends at the first Fish Fry of this Lenten season next Friday, March 16, from 4:30 p.m. ‘til 7 p.m. in the Activity Center.  Dinners are $7 for adults and $4 for kids.  The “special” for Friday the 16th is baked fish.  We can always use more help.  If you’d like to volunteer for a shift (or two) or if you can provide a dessert, call Mary Beth Armstrong at 793-4574.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARTY:  Join up with your friends at the Fish Fry, then stick around for the St. Patrick’s Day Party to be held next Friday, March 16, from 9 p.m. ‘til 1 a.m.   The cost is $15 per couple/$8 per person, with reduced prices for YAC coaches.  These prices include pop and snacks.  You must be 21 to attend.  Contact any YAC member for tickets and to make reservations.

PAWS FOR PRAISE:  Third grade teacher Mrs. Peter would like to nominate third graders Maddie Hoffman and Joey Pomeroy for their cheerful helpfulness whenever she needs assistance.  Thank you, Maddie and Joey!
