REGISTRATION FOR 2007-2008:  Please look for registration forms coming home today with your youngest.  It is imperative that you fill out and return this form by the deadline date of January 16, 2007 in order to ensure your child a spot in a class for next school year.  After January 16, classroom space will be offered first to students from Ss. Peter and Paul School and then to students who wish to transfer from other area schools to OLSH.  Please note that the required registration fee must accompany the registration form.  There are further details in the letter that is part of the form.

PAUSE (PAWS) FOR PRAISE:  Mrs. Baker would like to thank sixth grader Ryan Boothe for offering to clear off her hallway walls one day after school and for doing it in such an organized manner and with a cheerful attitude; Mrs. Eggenberger nominates fifth grader Colleen Armstrong for her kindness to another student.  Thank you, Ryan and Colleen!

PTO MEETING:   Please join us for our next PTO meeting on Monday, December 18, at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Parish Center.  Our guest speaker will be Eric Fortner, the chairman of Monte Carlo Night.  Our key agenda topics include:  a new fundraiser at “Run, Jump-N-Play”, product surveys with P&G, and updating the Tiger Room.  Remember—only members present can influence the outcome and vote on these topics!

CHRISTMAS CONCERT:  Plan to join your children on Tuesday, December 19, at 1 p.m. as they present a Christmas concert under the direction of Mrs. Cheryl Raine.  It promises to be a wonderful addition to your Christmas season.

CHRISTMAS APPAREL:   Students will be permitted to wear their uniform bottoms (pants, skirts, skorts) with appropriate Christmas-themed shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, turtlenecks, etc. and accessories on Tuesday, December 19.

SANTA SHOP:  A huge “thank you” to April Vogt and her dedicated crew of “elves” for all the shopping, organizing, wrapping, assisting, and cleaning up that was required in the running of a very successful Santa Shop this year.  We certainly appreciate the moms who made it possible for our students to purchase Christmas gifts for their families and friends.

PRESS RELEASE FORMS:  There are a number of families who have not yet returned the Photo and Name Release form that was sent home a couple of weeks ago.  We need this signed form on file so that we know whether we have your permission to give your child’s name to area newspapers when we send them publicity about happenings at OLSH.  We have extra forms in the school office if you have misplaced yours—just call us.

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS:  Parents who wish to contact Mrs. Lisa Maciulewicz, who will finish out this school year in Grade 7W, can email her at maciulewiczl@olshschool.net.
