PAUSE (PAWS) FOR PRAISE:  Mrs. Adelmann would like to recognize and thank eighth graders Katie Haas, Paul Anderson, and Luke Shadley for helping her make White Thunder look more “tigerly” by redoing his stripes!  Thanks, Katie, Paul, and Luke!

HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS:  Eighth grader Paul Anderson has been named a St. Francis Xavier Scholar and has been offered a one-year scholarship to St. X based on his score on the Entrance Exam administered on December 2.  Paul and Luke Shadley will be recognized for their achievement on Moeller’s Entrance Exam at Moeller’s Award of Distinction Program to be held this Monday, January 22.  We congratulate these two boys on their achievements.

PTO:  Please join us for our next PTO meeting this Monday, January 22, at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Parish Center.  Run, Jump ‘n Play, the PTO Fish Fry, and Catholic Schools Week are among the topics to be discussed.   Remember—only members present can influence the outcome and vote on issues!

CHILD PROTECTION DECREE VIDEO:  The next session for viewing the Child Protection Decree video with facilitator Dan Hackett is set for Tuesday, January 23, from 7 p.m. ‘til 8 p.m. in the church Community Room.  If you plan to volunteer in any capacity with our schoolchildren (or if you already do), you must view this video with Mr. Hackett.  If you do not comply with this Archdiocesan ruling, you may no longer volunteer with our kids (and we would hate to lose you as a volunteer!).  If you’ve not yet seen this video, plan to come on the 23rd.  You must sign in—we are required to keep records.

PTO SURVEY:  Help OLSH’s PTO earn up to $500!  Our PTO has been asked to participate in a market research study to be held on Friday, February 9, in the OLSH school cafeteria.  Individual times will be scheduled from 2:30 p.m. ‘til 4:30 p.m.  Babysitting will be available.  You will spend up to 45 minutes tasting food products, filling out questionnaires, and perhaps doing some other type of testing.  We need a total of 75 people for this study.  There are still plenty of spots available!  Please call Katie Leary (563-0370) or email her at Katie.Leary@fuse.net to schedule a time.

PICTURES NEEDED:  We are putting together a display board to represent school activities for the upcoming parish-wide Ministry Fair.  If anyone has some good pictures of our students at events that have taken place this school year, please send them in to the office with your children.  We appreciate your help.

SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION:  Registration for spring sports (grades 3-8 boys’ volleyball, grades 3-8 boys’ baseball, grades 2-7 boys’ Golden Bears football, grades 3-8 girls’ softball, grades K-7 boys’ and girls’ soccer, and grades 7 and 8 boys’ and girls’ track) will take place this weekend (January 20/21) and next weekend (January 27/28) in the Tiger Room of the Activity Center after all Masses.  Please check the flyer coming home today with your youngest for further information.
