HIGH SCHOOL VISITS:  As you can see from the calendar above, we have several area parochial high schools scheduled to visit with our eighth graders next week.  Parents, please check with your eighth grader for info from these high schools coming home on each visit day.

PAWS FOR PRAISE:  Mrs. Pelzel would like to give a “Paws (Pause) for Praise” to sixth grader Darcie Gorsuch, who was the only student to acknowledge Mrs. Pelzel when she came down the hallway one morning before school.  Thank you, Darcie, for showing good manners and a cheerful Christian attitude.  It is always appreciated!

HOTLINE TESTING:  We will be testing the Hotline next Wednesday, October 25, beginning at 6 a.m.  Please call the school office if your family does not receive a call on that day.  Thank you for being patient and understanding the need for this test.

BOO BAGS:  Market Day Boo Bags were not delivered on Friday, October 20, as promised.  There was a delay in getting one of the products that is to be included in the bags.  We will deliver them one day next week and apologize if this causes any inconvenience.  We appreciate your orders!

INTERNET SAFETY:  Worried about your child’s safety on the Internet?  There will be an Internet safety program next Wednesday, October 25, at 7 p.m. at St. Gertrude School in Madeira.  Anyone is welcome to attend.

FALL PICTURES:  If your child was absent last Thursday, October 12, Lifetouch will return to OLSH on Monday, November 20, for make-up pictures.  The picture taken on that date will be used for the class composite, and your individual order will be filled.  If your child was at school but did not have his order and money with him, he was photographed for his class composite but no individual order could be filled.   You have several options:  1) follow the instructions on the “We Missed Your Order” card that your child was given on Thursday; 2) have your child’s picture taken on Monday, November 20 (re-take/make-up day); or 3) call Lifetouch (772-2110) to schedule an appointment at their studio in November or December.

PTO FALL MAJOR FUNDRAISER:  Each year, the PTO raises half of its operating income from this Drive.  We have been thanked many times for chairing this event and congratulated on exceeding our goal.  The real credit goes to all the students and parents who worked so hard to make this fundraiser such a success.  We send our appreciation to the homeroom teachers, staff, and Barb Adelmann for their constant support.  We send a special thank you to all the volunteers who checked orders, counted money, handed out prizes, and scooped ice cream.  –Pam Kennedy and Nancy Sutor, Chairs

End-of-Sale prizes and Kids Are First products have been delivered.  If you have a defective item or are missing any part of your order or one of your prizes, please notify Pam Kennedy in the next few days (984-4597 or pendres@cinci.rr.com.)
