HOOPS FOR HEART:
Friday, February 24, was the last day to turn in money for our “Hoops
for Heart” program. If you still have
money out, please send it in with your child on Monday. Checks should be made out to The American
Heart Association. If you have more than
one child at OLSH and you want each child to get
credit for collecting money, please send in cash or separate checks for each
child. Thank you to all families who so
generously donated to this cause.
MEDICINE SHOW:
Mt. Notre Dame and Moeller High School students who are involved in a
program called “Medicine Show” will come to OLSH on Thursday, March 2, to
present their program (skits/question-and-answer session) on drugs and alcohol
to our seventh and eighth graders.
PASSPORT NIGHT:
Passport Night is fast approaching!
All families are invited to come to OLSH on Thursday, March 9 beginning

MARKET DAY:
March order sheets will be coming home today with your youngest. If you place an order this month, you will
receive a FREE Market Day tote bag. Ask
anyone who already owns one of these totes, and they’ll tell you how nice they
are! Market Day food products are
excellent, but you may want to place an order this month just so you can get
this tote! In addition, if you order two
items from the front page, you will receive a FREE 12” cheese pizza. Please see
the order sheet for details on these specials.
We are also doing a “tally rally” among all homerooms. For further details about this, check the
Market Day flyers for parents and students coming home today.
NOTE FROM THE LIBRARY: Our book review volunteers have been busy,
and we have made significant progress screening books to ensure that they are
appropriate for inclusion in our library.
Once a book has been reviewed by a parent volunteer, a neon orange
sticker is placed on the inside front cover.
If a book has been recommended by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, it will
have a neon green sticker on the inside front cover. If you have any questions regarding this
project or would like to volunteer to review books, please contact Alison O’Neill
at 769-4853.
T-SHIRT CONTEST:
Create an original design for the OLSH Variety Show t-shirt. We will choose one entry to use on the front
of the shirt. Artwork must be done with
a black felt-tip pen on 8½” x 11” plain white paper. Be sure to include the words “OLSH Variety
Show” and “2006”; the rest of the design is limited only by your
imagination. Send your entry in to the
school office--all designs are due by Monday, March 6. If you have any questions, call Alison
O’Neill at 769-4853.
