PAWS FOR PRAISE:
Students who received Paws for Praise recognition for the month of October
are: Paul Anderson, Patrick Benson,

David Schneider, Alex Todd, and Sydney Zeuch. Congratulations to these students for setting
examples of Christian behavior.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR:
The Book Fair is next week!
Students will shop the Book Fair during their regular library
times. Parents are invited to join them
or shop during parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday, November 15 from
MARKET DAY:
Congratulations to 3-P, who won the pie/ice cream party by selling the
most Market Day pies. Their party will
take place on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, November 22. We are still collecting “Pennies for Pies”
until next Friday, November 18. Thank
you for your generosity.
FALL PHOTOS:
Lifetouch Fall photos are coming home today
with your children. We are also sending
home “Smile Safe Kids” ID cards and information for retakes. If your child was absent on the original
picture day (October 13), he forgot his portrait money, or you wish to purchase
additional portraits, please have your child bring with him the completed
picture envelope being sent home today for a retake on Monday, November
21. If you are unhappy with your child’s
pictures taken on October 13 and would like a retake on November 21, please be
sure to return the original portrait package when he has his picture retaken.
RECRUITMENT ’06:
Fr. Jack has brought together a committee headed by Mr. Ray Guye to learn what our stakeholders (namely, parishioners
with children in our Catholic school, children in public schools, children who
graduated from OLSH, grandchildren now attending OLSH, and several other
categories) feel about education. The
committee hopes to find, via interviews, what people value in education, if Our
Lady of the
CELL PHONES AT SCHOOL:
Students do not need to have cell phones with them at school. You may call the school office at any time to
get a message to your child. If your child has an emergency, he/she may come to
the office and call you. Cell phones are
distracting, expensive, and not permitted at OLSH. See page 18 of the Parent/Student Handbook (General
School Regulations). If we see cell
phones at OLSH, they will be confiscated.
OLSH SANTA SHOP:
It is that time of year when we are once again preparing for OLSH’s Santa Shop.
