FISH FRY:  Plan to join family and friends for your last chance to enjoy OLSH's Fish Fry tonight (Friday, March 18) from 4:30 p.m. 'til 7 p.m.  There will be great food, good company, and a kids' activity center.  Hope to see everyone there.  If you have any Fish Fry yard signs, please return them to school next week.  Thank you to all the workers and supporters of our Fish Fry.  --OLSH PTA

MORNING TRAFFIC:  Parents, please do not go around the cars that are lined up along the sidewalk dropping off students in the morning.  Even if you plan to park beyond the Learning Center and walk your child into school, you must stay in line and then pull into a parking space once you get past the school entrance.  Passing up this line of cars could cause an accident as parents pull away from the school entrance after dropping off their children.  Thank you.

LENTEN RAFFLE:  The winners of the fourth teacher raffle for this Lenten season were:  Jonathan Schworer (4-T)--basket of candy; Matthew Schneider (2-R)--The Incredibles DVD; Kirsten Lucas (1-O)--sand art kit; and Brett Elmlinger (1-O), Ali Kessling (2-R), Holly Carota (3-P), Emily Janszen and Chris Kessling (4-D), Sam Ficke (4-T), Sammy Adams and Adam Leeker (5-S), Chelsea Mehbod (6-G), and Chris Ernstes (8-W) plus two friends each--out-of-uniform passes.

Items in this week's raffle (to be awarded on Wednesday, March 23) are:  a KFC lunch served on beautiful dinnerware by Mrs. Adelmann for three winners and three friends; a pizza lunch including pop and dessert for two winners and two friends; a "sweet tooth" prize; a Busken breakfast for one winner and three friends; and a Student Government picnic (bring your lunch--Student Government will provide pop, snacks, and ice cream) for two winners and three friends.

Remember--tickets are 25 cents each or five for $1 and can be purchased each morning before school in Ms. Schafer's homeroom.  All money goes into our Nicaragua collection, which to date totals $858.50.  We thank everyone for their generosity.

PRINCETON SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENTS:  Please look for a transportation form coming home today with your child from Princeton City Schools which must be completed and mailed to the address on the form by April 15 if you have any intention of using Princeton transportation for your children next year.  Please call the school office (733-5225) if you live in the Princeton School District and your child did not bring home one of these forms.

FROM THE CINCINNATI MAIN LIBRARY:  Free and Fun Family Fest 2005--Family fun for everyone!  Make plans now to join us for the third annual Free and Fun Family Fest on Saturday, March 19 from noon 'til 3 p.m.  Each year, Fun Fest brings moms, dads, kids, teens, and grandparents, too together under the striped carnival tents for an afternoon packed full of totally free and fun games, music, munchies, and entertainment inside the Main Library's atrium.  Last year, over 2,500 fun seekers found the excitement!  This year promises to offer even more, including contests hosted by WCPO-TV's Channel 9's Tanya O'Rourke and the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.  Look for the MOJO 94.9 Jammin' Oldies van to be parked out front, too.  At 2 p.m., stop by our Children's Learning Center and enjoy a puppet performance of "Mouses and Mooses" by The Nearly There Puppeteers.  It's all part of a super fantastic way to celebrate community service sponsored by the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission--and it's all FREE AND FUN!  12 noon - 3 p.m.

YOU MAY WIN $100 WORTH OF FREE BOOKS AT THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR!  The OLSH Scholastic Book Fair is coming to school during the week of April 11 through April 17, and the students will be visiting the Book Fair in the library during their library times.  There they will be able to view and buy books.  They will also have the option of filling out their own wish list to bring home for your approval.  You may return this list in an envelope marked "Book Fair" along with a check (made payable to OLSH).  We will fill your order and deliver it to your child's homeroom.  Teachers will have classroom wish lists posted so that you may donate books to your child's classroom if you'd like.  Any student making a purchase will be entered into a drawing for $100 worth of free books!  Fifteen additional names will be drawn for our free poster giveaway.  The winner of the $100 Free Book Prize will be announced on Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m.  We will arrange a time for the winner to choose his books after one of the weekend Masses.  Winners of the posters will be notified on Tuesday morning, April 19, and make their selections then.  On Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, after all the Masses, our Book Fair will be open for all parents, students, and parishioners.  Parents, you are also welcome to come during your child(ren)'s scheduled time or anytime during the school day.  Visiting the Book Fair gives you a great opportunity to look for gifts for your children, friends, teachers, and even yourself for the summer, birthdays, or any special reason.  All proceeds benefit our school library.  A book list that previews only a few of the many books offered at the Fair is coming home with your child(ren) next week.
