OPENING PRAYER - The meeting was called to order by Tamara Anderson, PTO President. Katie Leary led us in the opening prayer.

FINANCE COMMITTEE PRESENTATION - Pat Finan, Chairman of the OLSH Finance Committee, gave us an update on the parish finances. Sunday collections continue to decline. An analysis of the collections show that 15% of parishioners give $50-$200 a week; 35% of parishioners give $10-50; 25% of parishioners average $10 or less and 25% of parishioners give nothing.

The budgeting process begins in January, with Parish Council receiving the budget in April. The goal is to present a balanced budget and keep the operating reserve intact.

A fund-raising subcommittee has been formed to look at ways to generate new income.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - The October minutes were approved as written.

TREASURER’S REPORT - Pam reported we had income of $437 since the last meeting (Market Day and boo bags) and $2,934 in expenses (conference dinner, 2006-2007 yearbook, Santa’s visit, MND advertisement, school directory, and Christmas Shop).

ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTS

Open House - A special open house will be held on November 28. It is geared toward Sts. Peter and Paul parents and students, but anyone is welcome. Katie Leary is looking for volunteers to be tour guides and hostesses.

COSI on Wheels - The program the teachers would like (Space) is not available at this time; sign-ups are in February for next year. Mrs. Tebbe will discuss this at the teachers meeting on December 6 to see if the teachers would like another program or would rather wait until next year for the Space program.

Buses - PTO allocated $3,000 this year for buses. Last year $5,400 was spent. Pam Kennedy proposed that an additional $1,600 ($200 per grade level) be allocated for buses for field trips. The PTO membership voted, and approved this proposal.

Grandparents/Special Person Day - Laura Schaeper reported that everything is going well for this event. She and Jennifer Gallo are co-chairing this event.

Christmas Shop - Help is needed wrapping the gifts for the Christmas Shop. The boxes are in the Book Room. Wrapped gifts are due back by December 5. We are still looking for volunteers to work the sale. A list of when the classes will be attending the Christmas Shop will be sent out soon.

Market Day - The pie contest was a success, with 330 pies being sold. The winner of the contest was 8R (sold 51 pies). We made $907.50 profit from the pie contest, bringing the total November profit to $1,255.74. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the November Market Day campaign.

The Pennies for Pies campaign generated $42. But, since 40 pies were donated, this money was used to buy food for the Thanksgiving baskets.

In December, if you spend $25 on Market Day products, you get a chance to win a $25 Market Day gift certificate.

We are still looking for volunteers to run the Market Day program next school year. At the next PTO meeting, Lisa will explain her duties as the Market Day chairperson.

OLD BUSINESS

Sound system in Activity Center - No update to report.

NEW BUSINESS

Run, Jump N Play - Tamara discussed the fundraiser proposal from Run, Jump N Play. For $9.95 per child, you get two hours of play time, pizza and a soft drink. Of the admission price, $2.00 is given to the school. Tamara will research the questions that were asked, and give us an update at the next meeting.
