The meeting was called to order by Jamie Brenner, PTO President.

Approval of minutes - The October meeting minutes were approved as written. There is an addition to the September minutes - Father Jack was consulted and he does not want the PTO to solicit Direct Donations.

Treasurer Report - Alison O’Neill advised us that the current PTO account balance is

$16, 850.86. We have incurred approximately $5000 in expenses since the last meeting. These expenses include field trip buses, Katrina t-shirt sponsorship and the conference dinner.

Alison explained that she is resigning from her position as PTO Treasurer.

ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTS

Market Day - Lisa Schoenberger reported that 237 pies have been sold. She would like to reach at least 250 pies so that the PTO profit from each pie is higher. The deadline for the “Pennies for Pies” campaign is extended until November 18. Any extra money collected will be given to Mrs. Willet for the Thanksgiving dinner baskets.

Parish Council update -Jamie Brenner reported that there is a change to the Script Program , which was explained later in the meeting. Sunday offerings have increased approximately $500 per week. A census committee will review the parishioners “on the books” versus actual parishioners. The Activity Center sound system project is on hold until we can find a company who can support a sound system in a “gym setting”.

OLD BUSINESS

Christmas Shop - The Christmas Shop will occur this year. Kim Pomeroy will handle the raffle; Alison O’Neill will handle the consignment materials and communications. Call Alison or Kim if you have donations for the Christmas Shop. They will also need Christmas Shop volunteers.

April Vogt will chair this activity next year. She discussed some ideas for the Christmas Shop for next year, such as saving old Christmas cards and purchasing wrapping paper at the “after Christmas” sales. Additional information will come at a later date.

Spirit Day Update - This will be discussed at the next PTO meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Script Program - Sandy Champlin and Lori Stroehlein discussed the change to the Script program. The profit that OLSH receives on these gift certificates/cards will now be split 50/50; 50% of the profit will go to church and the other 50% will be used for tuition reduction. Information on this change is being sent home in the Friday Communication Packets.

Auditing Financial Books - Tracy Engel volunteered to help with the auditing of the books. Pam Kennedy also volunteered previously; however she will be unable to do this in her new position.

IGA brand labels - Lisa Schoenberger explained that PTO can receive 5cents per UPC/label from IGA foods. The UPC/labels can be put in the Campbells containers. Note that the IGA labels will not be part of the Campbells drawing for out of uniform.

Labels/UPC’s must be redeemed in quantities of 500 or more. Lisa will chair this activity this year; we need a new chairperson for next school year.

Nominations for Treasurer position - Pam Kennedy expressed interest in this position. Election was held and the majority voted for Pam to assume the Treasurer position effective December 1. She will work with Alison O’Neill and Maureen Flavin to assume the Treasurer duties.

December PTO meeting - The membership voted to skip the December PTO meeting.

The next PTO meeting will be held January 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Level of the Parish Center.

Any questions about PTO should be directed to one of the Board Members listed above.
