OPENING PRAYER - The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Jamie Brenner, PTO President.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - There is one revision to the March meeting minutes. We have lost approximately $1000 ($500 per year the past 2 years) on the yearbook.

TREASURER REPORT - Pam reported we had $1,062 in income since the last PTO meeting ($418 Market Day, $12 Kohl’s cards, $62 skating party, $570 P&G survey). Our expenses were $516 ($262 Confirmation reception, $254 Variety Show).

ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTS

Market Day - Lisa advised everyone that next year is her last year as the Market Day chairperson. She would like someone to shadow her next year and take the job over the year after that. She also advised everyone that it is easier (less work) for the chairperson if you place your order on line.

Parish Council update - Nothing to report.

OLD BUSINESS

Fish Fry - Mary Beth Armstrong reported that the first 2 Fish Frys have profited approximately $500 per night. The last Fish Fry is this Friday. She has requested that PTO purchase a used fish fryer for next year. This will be discussed further at the May meeting once she has a definite cost (approximately $300, some of which may be paid for by the Men’s Club).

Yearbook - Alison O’Neill reminded everyone that the last day for yearbook orders is April 14. The number of yearbooks that we order will be based on the number of orders she receives by April 14, so order now. There isn’t a guarantee that yearbooks will be available next year..

Nominations for PTO Board Members - Tamara Anderson has nominated herself for the President position, and Katie Leary nominated herself for the Vice-President position. Since there is only one candidate for each position, the PTO members in attendance voted to forego the written ballot for election of PTO board members. A verbal vote was taken, and the 2006-2007 PTO Board members will be: Tamara Anderson, President; Katie Leary, Vice-President; Pam Kennedy, Treasurer; and Karen Stevenson, Secretary.

NEW BUSINESS

Spotlight - Alison O’Neill discussed the purchase of a spotlight for use at the Variety Show, graduation, school presentations, etc. The cost is approximately $300 for a used one. It was mentioned that the Eighth Grade and/or Student Government may want to consider this for a school gift. This will be discussed further at the May meeting.

Book Fair - Per Kim Pomeroy, we should make approximately $900 profit from the Book Fair. Next year, this event will be chaired by Sandy Mitsch and Debbie Stroh.

Spirit Day - This will be co-chaired by Barb Rohs and Mary Beth Armstrong. It will be held on Thursday, June 1.

Voice of the Constituents - Mr. Ray Guye discussed the results of this survey.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next meeting will be held May 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Level of the Parish Center.
