OPENING PRAYER - The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Heather Von Lehmden, PTO Vice-President.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - The February meeting minutes were approved as written.
TREASURER REPORT - Pam reported we had $65 in income from GM Box Tops. We had $270 in expenses in February for postage, Multi-cultural night and YAC’s St. Patrick’s Day dance.
ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTS
Market Day - Lisa was unable to attend the meeting, but wanted to remind everyone to return their Market Day sheets for the contest.
Parish Council update - Mr. Ray Guye will attend next month’s meeting to report on the “Voice of the Customer” interviews held with parish members last year/early this year.
OLD BUSINESS
Yearbook - Pam reported that the yearbook is increasing in price this year to $14.00. The past 2 years PTO has lost approximately $500 on the yearbook. We need to look at other options for the yearbook to keep the price in line - maybe decrease the number of pages. Remember that you can order your yearbook until April 14.
Nominations for PTO Board Members - We are still seeking candidates for the President and Vice-President positions. An outline of the duties for these positions is on the back of these minutes. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. The night of the week that PTO meetings are held is negotiable. If you are interested, please call any of the PTO board members listed at the top of these minutes.
NEW BUSINESS
Fish Fry - Mary Beth Armstrong reported that Fish Frys will be held on the following Fridays: March 24, March 31 and April 7. A request sheet for volunteers and desserts was sent home with the youngest child. Please consider volunteering your time or a sending in a dessert, as well as attending one of these fish frys.
Variety Show - The Variety Show will be held on March 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Activity Center.
COSI (Columbus Museum of Science and Industry) - This will be put on the agenda for the April meeting since Alison O’Neill as unable to attend this meeting to discuss this item.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Spirit Day - We are looking for a chairperson for this committee. This is currently scheduled for Friday, May 19. Please contact one of the PTO board members if you can chair this event.
Next meeting - The next meeting will be held April 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Level of the Parish Center.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
Any questions, comments or suggestions about PTO should be directed to one of the Board Members listed on the front of this page.
