5th Grade

• In English we are studying a unit on verbs. 
• We are approaching the end of the novel The Sign of the Beaver.  Please encourage your child to keep up with the readings, questions, and vocabulary. We will have an end of the novel test on March 4.

6th Grade

• The first sixth grade Book Club will be rescheduled later in the month of March.  I would like to have more students involved in the discussion of the novel.

• We are continuing to read the novel Crispin. We will have a mid-book test on Chapters 1-30 the week of March 8.
• In English, we are working on a creative writing piece.  All students must create a realistic fiction story and use the writing process to complete the story.
