Welcome to 6G

     After a very successful 1st trimester the 5th and 6th graders are off and running in the second.  While they are working hard in all subjects, we are focussing on a special area of interest during this very special season of giving.  The students have adopted three families through the Prokids foundation and are supplying Christmas gifts for all of the children.  The students have shown such enthusiasm and genorousity!  They will be providing gifts and a stocking full of goodies for a total of 12 children, along with food and gift baskets for the parents as well.  It is overwhelming to see how much they accomplish when they work together to take care of others.  The care and consideration they show is what the true meaning of Christmas is all about.                         When we return from our Christmas break the 5th graders will continue working on their writing and grammar in English.  In Religon we will study the Sacraments, taking a more in depth view of each.  The 6th graders will continue advancing in algebra as we work to solve more dificult variable equations.  In Science we will begin the very fascinating study of genetics.  We hope to start 2008 off with renewed energy and enthusiasm for our studies!
