April RWS:  Storyboards are due on or before April 30.

 May RWS:  Your choice...AR, summary, or oral report due

 on or before May 20.

RWS Trimester Goals

Each trimester students are required to read 5 AR books, then take the AR tests on the computer.  AR tests are usually 10 multiple choice questions.  Students must pass the tests with an 80% or better.  Tests cannot be retaken.  If students score lower than an 80% they cannot use that book towards an AR requirement, but they can use that book for an oral report or a book summary.

Students are encouraged to keep reading after RWS requirements are met.  For any "extra" books, students can choose which activity they would like to complete (oral report, summary, or AR).  Certificates will be awarded at the end of each trimester for students who have exceeded RWS requirements.

Only chapter books are acceptable for RWS.  Please use the Five Finger Rule when selecting books.
