On June 4th committee members from St. Nicholas Academy, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, and St. Clement met to continue the discussion regarding the future of Catholic education in the area. Members agreed on a formal name: St. Nicholas Academy, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School, and St. Clement School Transitional Steering Committee and a mission statement. A consensus voting procedure was also agreed upon in which equal members from each parish have an equal vote. Members were tasked with developing an executive summary. The executive summary is the 1st step in making recommendations to the Archdiocese; and is due to the Archdiocese Catholic School Office by August 14th. A facility study was conducted at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart on June 8th. Committee members agreed that St. Clement will need to decide if they will move forward and if so, arrange for a facility study. The next meeting will be held July 1st at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
