Halloween was special for first graders at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School this year when a group of parents, and a grandmother, came to help with 'hands-on' math games. From estimating candy corn, counting by tens as rings were tossed on the legs of a Dracula-octopus, and practicing tallying with a spider toss, to drilling flashcards and grouping even and odd numbered ghosts, the 'Halloween Math Party' was enjoyed by all.
