Students spent the Tuesday before Thanksgiving with their Grandparents/Special Persons. The day started with a special liturgy in the activity center with over 300 adults in attendance. Grades 1 and 5 planned the liturgy and included their rendition of "The Giving Tree". After the liturgy and refreshment Grades 1,2, and 3 sang two Thanksgiving songs. During the serving of refreshments, four students played violins as background entertainment. After these events, the students in grades 1-8 welcomed their special people into their classrooms for the remainder of the morning. Dedicating this mass to the special people in the students' lives has become an anual event at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School in Reading, Ohio.
